What is the K-Family Festival About?
The K-Family Festival is an annual celebration inspired by the spirit of Hongik Ingan(the philosophy of benefiting all mankind), aimed at reviving the traditional Korean extended family culture. This festival emphasizes universal values and ethics surrounding love, gender, marriage, and family, advocating for policies on low birth rates, aging populations, and proper sex education. The concept of ‘K-Family’ represents the extended family culture imbued with the founding principles of Hongik Ingan, central to Korea’s heritage.
The Seoul K-Family Festival aspires to be a catalyst for overcoming the challenges of a low birthrate and an aging society, celebrating the enduring values and traditions of Korean families.
